3.3 Accuracy of content
We take care over what we publish, and our house rule is that every factual claim we make about a fragrance must
be traceable to something real. But the site is provided for information, and content may occasionally be out of
date. Descriptions of scent are impressionistic by nature and are not promises about how a fragrance will behave
on your skin.
Nothing on this site is professional advice — medical, dermatological or otherwise. If you have a skin condition
or a known allergy, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
3.4 Our liability for use of the site
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for

relating to the site, and we are not liable for loss or damage that is not a foreseeable result of our breach —
including, where you use the site for any commercial purpose, loss of profit, business, goodwill or opportunity.
We are not liable for viruses or other harmful material you may encounter through the site or anything linked from
it. Please use your own virus protection.
4. Your rights and our responsibilities
This disclaimer concerns the website and its presentation.
It does not exclude or restrict statutory consumer rights,
our obligations concerning product safety or accurate
descriptions, or rights concerning defective products.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or restricts liability
for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence,
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability
that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
This disclaimer does not alter our data-protection
responsibilities or require you to waive legal rights.
By accessing and using this website, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy. If you do
not agree with the terms described in our Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of this website.
5. Legal grounds for UK and EEA processing
Where UK or European Economic Area data-protection law applies,
our processing must have an applicable legal basis.
-
Website delivery, reliability, and security:
We take care of your information. In practice that means access limited to those who need it, multi-factor
authentication on our business systems, encryption in transit, reputable providers under written contracts, no
storage of card details, and a written procedure for responding if something goes wrong.
No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a high
risk to your rights and freedoms, we will tell you without undue delay, and we will report qualifying breaches
to the ICO within 72 hours.
-
General enquiries:
We will keep any general correspondence for 2 years from the last message, unless it relates to an order or a
complaint.
-
Legal obligations and claims:
Please complain to us first if you can. Email contact@vovelyse.com with "Data protection complaint" in the
subject line.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond substantively without undue delay. This reflects
our obligation under section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018.
You may also complain to the regulator, and you do not have to come to us first:
Information Commissioner’s Office:
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF
Helpline: 0303 123 1113

We would rather hear from you directly, but the choice is entirely yours, and using it will not affect
how we treat you.
Dismissing our informational privacy banner is not consent to
personal-data processing. Where consent is required for a
separate activity, it must be requested separately.
6. Hosting, content delivery, and other recipients
Microsoft Azure.
Our website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps.
Technical information may be processed in connection with
delivering and operating that service.
jsDelivr.
We load the Three.js graphics library through jsDelivr.
Your browser connects to that external service when downloading
the library.
jsDelivr's Privacy Policy describes technical usage information
it may process, including IP addresses, browser information,
domain-level referrer information, requested CDN URLs, and
request timestamps.
Website resources, including the graphics library, may load
before you dismiss our privacy banner. The banner controls
automatic book playback, not the initial download of resources.
Email and other providers.
We use Google Workspace, provided by Google LLC, to manage our business email communications. Personal information
you
provide to us by email, including your name, email address and the contents of your message, may be processed and
stored through this service for the purposes of responding to enquiries, communicating with you and managing our
business operations. We take appropriate steps to protect personal information and use it in accordance with
applicable data protection laws.
To check how Google LLC handles your privacy, visit
https://policies.google.com/privacy
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or
where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
7. Cookies, browser storage, and the privacy banner
Our website's presentation code does not set cookies or use
local storage or session storage.
The animated book, chapter navigation, countdowns, and pause
controls use temporary in-memory state. We do not save these
choices to recognise you on a later visit.
The privacy banner appears again on a new page visit because
its dismissal is not saved. While it is visible, automatic
book playback is paused. Dismissing it allows automatic
playback to begin or resume unless you have separately
paused autoplay.
Dismissal is not an acceptance of contractual terms, a waiver
of rights, or a record of consent to data processing.
Please read our Cookie Policy, available from the banner and
footer, for further information. This statement about our
application code does not describe every possible hosting
or third-party configuration.
8. How long information is retained
-
Enquiries and correspondence:
2 years from the last message, unless it relates to an order or a complaint
-
Technical logs available to us:
90 days from the date and time the event was collected
-
Provider-retained information:
For further information about how long Google retains technical data, email-related logs and other service
information, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy and Google's data retention policies. Retention periods may
vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed.
Information may be retained longer where required by law or
where necessary for an identified legal claim. Where this
applies, retention is limited to the relevant purpose.
9. Your UK and EEA rights
Where applicable, and subject to the conditions and exceptions
in law, you may have rights to:
- Access your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of information.
- Restrict processing.

have additional rights concerning your personal information.

11. Changes and contact
We may update this notice when our website or information-handling
practices change. We will update the date above and provide
additional notice where required.

information can be sent to contact@vovelyse.com

the relevant product information and labelling. This disclaimer
does not excuse misleading product descriptions or advertising.

responsibility for it.
You may link to our home page in a fair and lawful way that does not damage our reputation or suggest an
association that does not exist. You may not frame our site within another, or link from any site you do not
